“Nadia Pacey had just returned to Kingston from Toronto when I first met her, and I'm glad I did, because she is a very talented person. Her first full length album, Puberty, appeared like a bolt from the blue to a lot of show hosts at CFRC – an assured, complex and intelligent record that charted for many, many weeks here. Interviewing Nadia was tremendously nerve-wracking for me – having tremendous respect for a musician can make talking to them very hard indeed. 'Candle' is one of the songs she performed for us, plugged directly into our mixer. We were joined by a special guest, Nadia's mother Michèle Pacey – it's so rare to have an audience, and such a supportive one, in the studio.” - CW
